Band: Students will be provided with list on rental companies on the first day of Band. If you already have an instrument for your child to use, have them bring it to school on the first day so their teacher can make sure it is appropriate.

Orchestra: One of the great things about string instruments is that they come in a variety of sizes, perfect for students of any age. Teachers will measure students and communicate with families the appropriate size instrument to rent. Then, families will be provided a list ways to rent string instruments. 4th and 5th Grade: Band and Orchestra will start the 2nd week of school.

6th Grade: Middle School Band, Orchestra, and Choir begins on the first day of school.

There is no fee for Elementary Students to particpate in performing arts.

ECUSD7 issues an activity fee for all middle school students participating in performing arts and sports. One year of participation costs $75, and this fee is collected at summer registration.

Yes! Performing arts is a curricular class that takes place during the school day. It will not interfere with after school, extracurricular sports. If there is ever a conflict between sports and music performances, teachers are prepared to collaborate with coaches and families to find a solution.

No, music instruction happens during the school day. The only after school events are concerts, which are communicated well in advance.
