Mr. Hokeness is the Band teacher at both Cassens and Worden Elementary Schools. He plays the Oboe and studied at McKendree University. He chose the Oboe because of it's unique, beautiful sound! Mr. Hokeness enjoys helping students find those "A-Ha" moments and strives to share the joy of music with all students. In his free time, Mr. Hokeness enjoys running, reading, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Sgambelluri is the Orchestra teacher at all four elementary schools. He plays the string bass and studied at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Mr. Sgambelluri truly enjoys teaching elementary music students and is looking forward to meeting all the new orchestra kids next year!

Ms. Haroian is the General Music teacher at Cassens Elementary School, and she also teaches Orchestra at all four elementary schools. Ms. Haroian plays the flute and studied at Eastern Illinois University. She is passionate about giving a positive music experience to every child in our district. In her free time, Ms. Haroian enjoys days at the pool, walking the trails, and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Schroeder is the Band teacher at both Columbus and Woodland Elementary Schools. He plays the trombone and studied at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. His favorite part about playing trombone is getting to play all different styles of music. Mr. Schroeder loves teaching because you get to share the joy of music making with others! In his free time, he enjoys triathlons, video games, hiking, and playing with his two cats Peanut and Tinkerbell. Click the link for more info.

Mr. Sgambelluri is the Orchestra teacher at all four elementary schools. He plays the string bass and studied at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Mr. Sgambelluri truly enjoys teaching elementary music students and is looking forward to meeting all the new orchestra kids next year!

Ms. Beatty is the Band teacher at Lincoln Middle School. She plays the trumpet, earning her bachelors degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her masters degree at Illinois State University. Her favorite part about playing trumpet is learning about all the important roles the trumpet has played throughout history. Ms. Beatty enjoys using music as the medium to help students grow into well-rounded people. In her free time, Ms. Beatty likes traveling, hiking, camping, and golfing!

Mr. O'Malley is the Chorus teacher at Lincoln Middle School. He studied vocal music education at Millikin University. His favorite part about being a music teacher is working with students! "It's the best feeling, as their teacher, when I see them discover their voices, take risks, and encourage and accept others in ways we don't always see." In his free time, Mr. O'Malley enjoys hiking, camping, playing guitar, and spending time with his pup PJ!

Ms. Watts is the Orchestra teacher at Lincoln Middle School. She plays the violin, earning her bachelors degree from Illinois State University and her masters degree from Concordia University. Ms. Watts' favorite part about teaching is getting to see students grow throughout their three years in middle school! In her free time, Ms. Watts likes to garden, try new restaurants, and spend time friends and family.

Mr. Campbell is the Band teacher at Liberty Middle School. He plays the saxophone and the string bass. He earned his bachelor's degree at McKendree University and his masters degree at Eastern Illinois University. His favorite part about playing the saxophone is the wide range of styles it can play! Mr. Campbell's favorite part about teaching is getting to create fun, exciting music with great people. In his free time, Mr. Campbell likes spending time with his family and raising chickens.

Mrs. Gibson is the Chorus teacher at Liberty Middle School. She is a talented vocalist and pianist, and earned her bachelors and masters degree from Truman State University. She loves that choir brings students together who may have never sang in a group before. Everyone can learn and grow together in middle school! In her free time, Mrs. Gibson likes to spend time with her family, do tae kwon do, and bake. She loves musical theater and is ready to share all the corny jokes!

Mrs. Banker is the orchestra teacher at Liberty Middle School. She found her way to Edwardsville when she came to study cello at Southern Illinois University. Her favorite part about playing the cello is the unique and beautiful sound it makes. Mrs. Banker enjoys teaching orchestra because she gets to see students progress throughout middle school! In her free time, Mrs. Banker enjoys riding on the bike trails and being outside with her family.
